Python, Linux, Bash, Wireshark

  • Worked as a full-time employee on an ongoing government contract as a member of the radio frequency team.
  • Evaluated over 10 millimeter wave devices across the 802.11ad and NR2 spectrums.
  • Created a scripted field test for 60 GHz WiFi devices using Linux networking tools and embedded technologies.
  • Performed in-person cellular surveying using SCAT, Wireshark, and Minicom.
  • Developed a white paper for the customer providing insight into the future direction of the project.

Datava

Software Engineering Intern | Golden, Colorado
January 2024 - May 2024
PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS

  • Used the Workerman PHP framework for the backend of the project and used JavaScript for the front end.

Research

AI personalization - Small Neurons AI Research Group

Graduate Researcher | Golden, Colorado
August 2025 - May 2026
Python, PyTorch, PEFT

  • Conducted AI personalization research under Dr. Bo Wu, developing systems for personalized decision prediction using over 9.5 million prediction market decisions.
  • Designed and implemented a distributed CPU/GPU training architecture that orchestrated LoRA fine-tuning across remote Google Cloud A100 GPU workers while centrally managing scheduling, data pipelines, checkpointing, and experiment orchestration.
  • Built a scalable retrieval infrastructure using PostgreSQL and pgvector with time-gated semantic search, enabling leakage-safe retrieval over hundreds of thousands of historical user decisions and comments.
  • Developed an agent framework with tool calling, semantic retrieval, long-term memory compaction, and context management to evaluate inference-time personalization against parameter-efficient fine-tuning.

Autonomous Drone Path Planning - PeCS Research Group

Undergraduate Research Assistant | Golden, Colorado
August 2024 - July 2025
C++, Gurobi, OMPL, Python, Linux, Bash

  • Conducted autonomous robotics research under Dr. Qi Han as a recipient of the Mines Undergraduate Research Fellowship (MURF).
  • Co-authored an ACM journal paper on collaborative drone-UGV path planning for persistent autonomous patrolling.
  • Designed and implemented major components of the LORS planning algorithm, including obstacle avoidance, waypoint generation, bounding-box routing, and an action-swapping heuristic that improved solution quality.
  • Developed motion planning components using Gurobi and OMPL’s RRT* to generate collision-free routes around environmental obstacles.
  • Collaborated closely with a Ph.D. researcher through weekly design and whiteboarding sessions, translating algorithmic ideas into production-quality research software.
  • Designed and implemented the wind farm inspection case study used to evaluate the proposed algorithm on a realistic deployment scenario.
  • Built networking scripts to set up Raspberry Pis as Ad Hoc clients in order to test our path planning algorithm in the field.

Micro GPT CUDA Implementation

Semester class project | C++, CUDA, Python

  • Implemented a C++/CUDA version of Andrej Karpathy’s microgpt for my parallel computing final project
  • Designed custom CUDA kernels for transformer operations, implementing batched execution, tiled matrix multiplication, and kernel-level optimizations guided by nvprof profiling.
  • Achieved over 500x speedup compared to a serial C++ implementation and 10,000× compared to the original Python implementation on large benchmarks.
  • Outperformed batched PyTorch on multiple benchmark configurations while matching the correctness of the original microGPT implementation.

Easel Canvas Assistant

Semester class project | Python , Google Agent ADK

  • Used the Canvas API to develop a proof-of-concept AI assistant that helped students stay on top of coursework.
  • Designed an autonomous system that ingested and embedded course materials, then generated a weekly summary of outstanding assignments along with all relevant resources needed to complete them.
